be able to change with the time. I knew a guy that had couple garage trucks, then bought a landfill, hurricane katrina came, only landfill in area, became filty rich. sold landfill, became filty rich again, now he builds landfills, filty rich for third time. for xmas he bought two new bulldozers and three new mack dumptrucks, he already has about forty of each.

he only 35 and worth about 300 mil

Yes, I know a few, and the only trait they share is that they don't talk about their money, nor flaunt it.

I know another guy who came up with a simple " junk mail" idea.
Made millions on it and is a salt of the earth kind of guy.

What I've learned from this thread = apparently everyone knows a millionaire who doesn't flaunt it and is a meat and potatoes kinda guy.

You may be talking about people who were from depression families. My uncle now in his 80's is an Ebenezer. Besides, the people who aren't ebenezer don't get there by giving their money away or spending money foolishly. How do you think they got there?

A lot of people think we are supposed to live like they did in the 80's, the era of excess, funded by credit cards, crazy debt. You'll never get there that way. And some people who make good money understand that all good things will come to an end and think and plan for the future.

They say the poor think about today, the middle class think monthly, the rich think years ahead.
