How are we going to survive in the future if these prices keep going up and up? I don't see us getting big raises at our jobs to cover these rising prices. Something has to give soon.

^^ well, yes, of course. We overcomsume, commute alone, in gas guzzlers and have 14 cars per household any more instead of 1 or 2, etc., but I didn't have the energyto go down the whole laundry list of sins...some of which, I'm guilty of but not too badly.
At any rate, the past is the past. There's no excuse for not cranking up these initiatives now, at least once Big Oil takes a couple of steps out of the door of the White House.....if only....

Indeed, the biggest detriment to the domestic US economy has been monetary and credit policy.
