OP is likely a Democrat, and got a little carried away with optimism over The Chosen One.

Oh well, we all make mistakes...I've made a few bad market calls myself.

Well, for starters we could get out of Iraq. That will save us $10-$12 billion a month to fund health care.

They usually rally the market into election day. I don't think anybody predicted such a steep sharp sell-off immediately. Markets usually try to suck in more people at extremes. There were three CDS auctions this week with the last one on Friday. Funds had to raise cash to meet the anticipated losses. I believe they have to put up the cash within 2 weeks.

No, this would be in addition to Social Security.
