I am currently employed in retail and I've been at my job for 9 and a half years and I am a really hard worker who seldomly calls in sick and I always get my work done everyday while I'm there.
If you can pay for these things, then you have earned them. And by "pay" I don't mean put them all on credit and then default when the going gets rough, whining that it's not your fault that you went into debt.
