Yes and the House is voting on Crap and Trade this Friday, and it will most likely pass, as a drug deal was done with farmers regarding ethanol last night. So much for 95% of Americans not having raised taxes. This President's policies will tax and increase the cost of everything: food, energy, everything produced by energy, and will drive more jobs to China and Mexico and kill whatever manufacturing we have left. America is going to be a second, maybe third rate nation.

If the Democrats want to put the Republicans back in power this will do it. People love to talk about how much their pro environment and that they back cap and trade, but when their new electric bills begin to arrive their mood will change very quickly. If they lose their job over this, well its all over for the Democrats. It's like the old saying, "be careful what you wish for, because it may come true". This is a fitting saying for cap and trade.

struggling americans do not need higher electricity bills!!! people need to contact their representatives on this cap and trade issue. this is an ELECTRICITY TAX that affects 100% of the consumers. i have contacted my representatives via email to vote against this and urge everyone to do the same.
here is an article explaining what cap and trade means in taxes:

Pajamas Media » Growing Cap-and-Trade on the Tax Farm

In the current set of bailouts, the government collects income taxes and gives the money to Wall Street. Under cap-and-trade, the government will sell well-heeled financiers the right to impose a massive and extremely regressive electricity sales tax on the nation and collect the revenue for their own profit directly. This will take kleptocracy to an entirely new level.

here is the contact form. it only takes a few minutes to fill out and send to your state representatives:

Yeah....funny how their so concerned with "middle class" and the working people and struggling families, yet they lop on the regressive taxes like sour cream on a baked potato.

Personally, I wish they would have just raised taxes honestly....than doing all this crap behind our backs (and out of our control.)

They can do whatever they want as they know there is nothing we can do about it. The game is rigged so a few benefit from the sacrifices of the rest of us. The whole carbon dioxide/global warming is a scam. I know the real source of carbon dioxide with hot air is from the politicians.

If it happens this will be such a drain on the economy it will take a generation to recover.
