Causing flights to be extremely expensive during the Spring, Summer, and Winter. Shouldn't people have more intelligence?

Actually, spring breaks in the Rockies are spread out over an entire month period, not intentionally but situationally, depending on which college or school district.

What "people" are you referring to?? College Spring breaks can be anywhere from the first week in March to the last week in March. In the three school districts I've lived in, all had different variations of Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter breaks. Perhaps you should vacation at a different time.

What schools? Do you mean all schools within a district? Or do you mean public elementary/middle/high school along with colleges? What, exactly, do you mean?

I am glad my kids will have the same break time, whether they are in the same school or not (since they are five years apart) and doubly glad that my college breaks coincide with their school breaks. What a pain it would be to have kids with different breaks, so we couldn't plan to do anything together!

I mean most schools. I don't think you see the benefit of this....

Enlighten us please!

The colleges in my area have spring breaks throughout this month.
The schools do not have spring break, but will have time off for Easter.

Maybe you need to plan your vacation for another time....

The obvious answer is that breaks are structured around the various holidays.

Not to mention families with more than one child.

Around here all of the districts have their breaks at the same time. It's nice because like myself several people live in one district, and teach in another. I see it as a perk to be off at the same time as my child.
