...but there are a lot more failures at life who dropped out of college. There are exceptions to most rules. The people listed on this thread are those exceptions.

A "decent living?" I had a fraternity brother who dropped out of college around 1991. He joined the Air Force and has been in now for 20 years. He and his family are making what I would call a decent living. I also went to high school with a girl who graduated and went straight to FL to work for Disney. She has been with them since '89 and seems to be doing well.

My husband's cousin dropped out of college. He has had a nice career with Southwest Airlines. I know someone never went to college who owns his own landscaping company. He has a nice house, nice car, nice kids and seems to be doing ok.

Neither are multi millionaires but they are both doing fine. They own their own homes, have enough money for all of their family's necessities and for some extras (vacation, nice clothes, a few meals out, better than junky cars....). I am sure I could think of more but those are the ones that come to mind right away.

Yes, myself. I dropped out after two years, and decided if I was going to make it, I'd make it on my wits alone, and I was very successful. I made quite a bit more money than I needed to live on (and I still have the difference), and I lived very well and did pretty much everything I ever wanted to do. I guess that is "successful".
