Default Life is funny - Kids & Innocence

I was thinknig about how symbolic the 1st day of school is. Your not just waving goodbye to your new kindergartner for the day, your saying goodbye to all the innocence of the little tyke you knew for the last couple of years of toddler-hood.

Within a few days they are talking and behaving differently, which is bittersweet. You want them to mature and advance of course, but at the same time you'll so miss that little teeny kid they used to be, that said their words funny and said cute things and you will never get that time back.

Its almost like there's no warning. The cute way they said something before just stops and its only then you realize how much you'll miss them saying "Kitty" that funny little way. Or interests they have are suddenly "for babies" just like that without warning

Can ya tell I'm missing my kids right now? lol

They grow up too fast. I miss the days of innocence before they had to deal with peers and social issues and schools calling about things they did. Its all a part of life, I know. But I still miss those simpler days sometimes.
