If the rumblings are correct, you will be able to use a rapid bus transit from area hubs to get to the game. Also, you can drive to the UTEP area and take the trolley.

That's horrible, time consuming, silly, and expensive (pay for a bus and for parking).

That is correct, I don't have any reason to go to Northeast El Paso; I did go there once last year in July to see the Diablos play, but that was because we were invited and we didn't have to drive there.
I was going to downtown several times since most medical facilities I go to are within the vicinity of downtown, but then again there is nothing there since they removed the alligators from the Plaza.
Maybe when I take the long drive to the West side to go to Honey Bake Ham which is worth the drive, done that twice since I've moved back to El Paso, one night show at the Plaza Theater and three UTEP games and one Sun Bowl Miami/Norte Dame game.
Cielo Vista Mall many many times and now with the Fountains going up I'll be staying more in my neck of the woods as well.

It's an option and not silly at all.

There is no parking fee to park at a sun metro hub. There is a lot of free parking around UTEP.

Play Ball!

Plan El Paso (April 2012) makes no mention of a sports stadium downtown.
http://planelpaso.org/wp-content/upl..._for%20web.pdf
I really did like that Plan El Paso idea then it took me a few seconds to figure out that that is only a pipe dream, no such thing will ever exist or such plan ever carried out.
I could just see all of El Paso coming out by the hundreds and thousands chanting repeatedly, El Barrio No Se Vende!
No baseball stadium mention when this mumble jumble was unveiled.

This is a good thing. It should be better than watching the Diablos lose

Remember though, although we all like a winner, minor league baseball is not about the wins and losses.

Baseball plan sparks 'Occupy City Hall' protest - El Paso Times

If you have something to say then today might be a good time to say it! I, for one, am looking forward to the new ballpark.
