I would have to agree. It is due to the Latino influence. Sorry, if this sounds like a generalization, but it's meant as a compliment. The lovely El Paso Latin ladies really seem to make an effort to well groom themselves & are very in touch w/their femininity. So even if a woman may not be that beautiful she does a darn good job trying to make herself look that way. Not that women of other cultures & races don't do the same. However, EP ladies stick out.

Many years ago when I was a kid, the Beach boys did their song about California girls and going back to the states for the prettiest girls in the world - cal.

Things have changed, Americans have become obese and almost anywhere I go outside the country - Costa Rica or Philippines the girls look much nicer. The term BBW = BS there's nothing pretty about FAT - its a sign of bad health due to years of pushing in front and blocking others at the buffet line. Same goes for guys but I dont look at them.

Girls who describe themselves as average - are fat , Big and beautiful HUGE and "a few extra pounds" Whales.

Places with lower education have certain things in common - a fatter populace and they vote for Bush- lol Alabama , Louisiana, Miss and sadly Texas.

Men once flocked to Texas with images of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, now proportionally the women in much of rest of the country look better.

Its not easy to keep fit - I have to workout each day because i love to eat -even buffets. Im 5'10 175 and its struggle but I have kids and need to keep healthy.

A lot of people won't like reading this - oh well

It is all relative, isn't it? There are beautiful women on every corner of this earth, to say El Paso has the best ones is to say one has not broadened his/her world.

Maybe because I am happily married, but I don't get the sense that El Paso holds the record for beautiful women when I go there; 'certainly didn't see it when I grew up there, certainly don't when I visit. Not to say there aren't any, I've seen just as many as you, but I think a broad brush has been used to paint a picture here.

For my wife to comment about what she sees in a negative tone tells me I'm not wrong, and my wife usually does not make such comments. However, I have to also tell you that this is when I dropped her off at that Walmart by Cielo Vista mall to pick up something we needed during a visit... I drove around the parking lot while she shopped, and when she called me to say she was waiting outside..., well, you should have seen the look on her face.

In all honesty, it was culture shock for my wife (who's from Spain), but most would consider that what she witnessed bares a similarity to the local population. You cannot judge the population by what you see at night clubs, theaters, or restaurants where people go through the effort to show their dignity. A good sampling of a grocery story, a Walmart, a walk through downtown during the week, etc., will give you a true representation.

Default I would agree

I'm not a guy, but being kind of new to the area I would have to agree. It's one of the first things I noticed. Very lovely women, most all of whom dress very well -- wearing heals to the grocery and to walk kids to/from school no less!

What is most striking was their skin. Amazing skin and they obviously know how to take care of themselves in the sun as well as in general because even many older women are still stunning. Seems to me that hispanic women can hide their age well. Is that true or am I just assuming?

Of course, not everyone can be beautiful, but I notice in El Paso most seem to make an effort. Most ladies you see out and about have full on hair and make-up and are dressed nicely. I live on the west side and you do not see many unkempt women and that goes for their children too. No snotty nosed, dirty children running around. Majority are as well dressed as mom and not a hair out of place. My overall first impression (and assumption) is lovely in that the children of EP are cherished and cared for. Definitely one of the postives in my opinion.

I would say that only 5-10% of the population is very attractive (thats why supermodels make tons of money), 10-20% somewhat attractive (especially when they clean up), 50% average, and the rest just plain unattractive.
