I haven't been to EP since 1995 (when I looked at several homes) except in passing through...but as I remember....it would be the Upper Valley first....and then the West Side as a second choice.

Whether that would still be true today....I have no clue!!

:-)

Is Loretto an older district, maybe historical?

The agent showed me a few homes in one of the historical districts.....they were just really charming, with lots of character.

West El Paso has the great Sunsets and east El Paso has the great Sunrises so since i'm an early person i love the east side seeing the powerful Sunrises and get my Latte and head to the gym to pump iron and get back and read the EP Times will rev me up. So i would choose North Hills in northeast as it's next to the mountains so you could go hiking or mountain biking close by. I also admit NE is sentimental so being over there i could see the stadium lights at Andress and also an the closest to hit U.S. 54 to head up to Alamogordo and the beautiful Sacramento mountains of Cloudcroft and Ruidoso.

I do wish they'd build a new hospital and mall out there especially with Ft.Bliss expanding.

Now i'm making myself homesick.....

I have to agree with those sunrises. They're amazing.

I would build my house in the upper valley probably outside the city limits, but my real dream would be to live in a (if they ever would built one) a 20 or 30 floor highrise condominium in downtown El Paso, I would buy a penhouse on the highest floor and just kick back in my favorite city for the rest of my life.

Right on top of South Franklin Mountain. Then I could see some of both
the west and east sides and get both the sunrise and sunset.
