I have looked on the episd website and haven't found the answer I am looking for, but does anyone know which schools require uniforms and which do not? I was told my one of my neighbors that they do NOT wear uniforms at Bradley Elementary which would be great since I've already bought a bunch of regular clothes for him, but now I am starting to panic a bit.

Wow, look at that, exactly 2 hours later. I didn't even plan that.

Thanks for the reply! I am impatiently waiting for registration already! I went to Walmart the other day to see if they had put a list out for supplies and they HAD lists there, but of course not Bradley. very disappointing. So rather than wait until the last minute when everyone is shopping on tax free weekend, when the prices have probably gone up anyway, AND everyone else is finally getting a list-I opted to take the "buy a bunch of crap now and just hope it's what he needs" approach.

It seems the few reviews I have found on Bradley aren't that great. I really hope they are wrong and it's a good school.

Those Walmart lists are totally bogus, make you spend way too much money, and are often made without any input from the school. Just buy some basic notebooks & pencils then wait to see what the teachers ask for. Bear in mind that many teachers also ask for too much on their wishlist & for communal supplies that don't get used.

That's most of the elementary schools on the South Side (except for Beall and Cooley) and all of the elementary schools that graduate into Armendariz Middle (including Houston, which has closed). Does the school district help with buying uniforms?

Also: Did all the middle schools in EPISD decide individually to have uniform policies or was that something the board of trustees decided to impose on all of them?
