With all of the "racist south" topics here, I just wanted to report this. The title says it all. Nikki Haley and Tim Scott FTW.

It is a good thing that the GOP is able to nominate an African American for Congress, although I'm not sure how much of a chance it has of happening in some of the other portions of the state, specifically portions of the upstate region.

Cause, seeing how your from sophisticated Long Island, obiviously you know all the southern whites are nothing but dimwitted rascists that couldn't possibly elect a legit minority. I mean, we all now Republicans are only motivated out of racial fear and nothing else (well I guess greed too); they couldn't possibly elect someone non-white.

So, at first it was the south is racist, and then we nominate a black conservative, and now it's, well that part may not be racist, but the other part sure is. Pretty weak, if you ask me.

So the "racist south" will have not 1, but the only 2 Indian American governors, one who's a female, a Vietnamese American congressman, and a black conservative congressman. Hmmm.........
