If Barney Frank is re-elected, should he be allowed to retain any seat on House Financial Services Committee?
I have read COMMITTEE FAQs, question #4. How are the members of the standing committees selected?
I have asked friends, that answered that the Speaker of the House has final say.
Others have answered that seniority is the primary say.
We've all heard about Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, sub-prime mortgages, foreclosures, bank bailouts,
union bailouts, economic meltdown, jobs and unemployment.
And the name that comes to mind every-time is Barney Frank, Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.
Do "We the People" have any say, as to whether to allow or disallow someone's assignment to a particular committee?

I didn't see where the o.p. identified themselves as a "tea partier".
But seeing as how you used the term as a slur,I wonder why would you have such a negative reaction towards a person who expresses an interest in competent governance?

And as a lib you are OK with the mortgage crisis that he got us into? Typical. The libs keep electing these egomaniacs and excuse their folly regardless the expense to the taxpayers. Wouldn't you think with their intellectual superiority they could find someone younger and smarter? Do they believe that Science is the ONLY thing that matters and Math plays no role in the world?

If Barney Frank is Re-elected

It will prove once again that all politics is local. The people who actually vote in his district actually like him because he takes care of his constituents. That simple.

Bush took the reigns off big banks and once they failed from their predatory lendings, Bush gave them billions of our hard eared dollars, which I'm sure you know. On the other hand those that say "The libs" over and over, you have to question their intelligence level.

You forgot an option in the poll that says "Vote Him Out Of Office", and I hope voters in Massachusetts' 4th district do just that.
