Could Palin carry California, Mass, and/or NY in such a 3 way race

I doubt it very seriously, but there will not be a true 3 way race so it is probably a moot point.

No, but Bloomberg couldn't carry anything but those states.

Interesting question and an even more interesting set of assumptions. The assumption that Palin will be the Republican nominee is premature. Remember Howard Dean who was a cinch to be the Dem nominee in 2004? And how about Hillary in 2006? Early front runners have a way of stumbling and never crossing the finish line.

As for Bloomberg running as a third party candidate, that's a real possibility. The guy's got an ego that won't quit. And the money to boot.

Finally, as for Obama being the Dem nominee in 2012, don't dismiss the possibility that he won't seek a second term or that, if he does, he faces a primary challenge.

Kill me now - PLEASE! - if those three were to be the candidates in 2012. What a sad indictment of our country that would be ....

Bloomberg had a difficult time winning his third term in NYC against an underfuded obscure candidate. I don't think he would be much of a factor in a Presidential race. I hope not anyway since he is my least favorite Mayor in US history..I would vote for those Mayors caught smoking crack before I would vote for Bloomberg.

If we end with them I will vote for the Lib again. Libertarian that is. I would like to support Bloomburg but he is just such a nanny-stater, that I can't stomach him.
