Actually, he is quite renowned the world over and runs a very large organization, successfully. I heard him speak in person, is very persuasive and though I don't agree with everything he believes, do respect his integrity.

I don't really care about the preaching profession, I find it to be quite a waste of time, energy, money, and human potential. I'm sure his bank account is in the 6 or 7 figure range and all of that from fleecing the flock. I don't begrudge a person who makes a pile of money as long as they do it ethically and honestly. I just find ethics and honesty to be in short supply in the preaching profession.

Thankfully we are still a free enough country that people can give their money to whatever charity and not be jailed for it. Not so in many atheist countries. "Preaching" not a profession but a calling. There are many who make money fleecing the gullible. I don't think this guy is one of them.

LOL @ Franklin Graham. Guess he's one of the new Republican kingmakers now, huh?

He'll never be what his father was, and if he thinks he will, he's sadly mistaken.

In leiu of completely missing my point, you gift me with an insult.
Trump has his own where-with-all unlike most politicians that is not tied to appeasing voters for a living. He could be formidable in opposing that mechanism.
I do not, nor have I ever watched any reality show including his. Yes, they guy has suceeded and failed in magnificent fashion. Standing up to the norm is near impossible in DC, but maybe someone with his ego can pull it off. As you see firsthand, they swallowed Obama up within weeks of his inaugaration. Now, if you can back off the "I am better than you" attitude, it would be appreciated. I never said the guy would make a good President, just that he has the power to potentially face our scumbag politicians down.

Yes because "religious" countries like Iran and the rest of the Middle East is the beacon of tolerance and open mindedness.

That being said, I am a strong believer in the 1st Amendment and believe that people are free to throw their money at lining the inside of a megapastor's pocket if they so desire.

How does a pastor decide how much of the tithe money to keep and how much to give to the Lord? He takes all the money and puts it inside a hat. He holds it above his head in dedication to the Lord and says, "God, I'm going to throw this money in the air, however much you want grab it, whatever hits the ground I'll keep."

i don't know about franklin graham (since i don't know him) but there seems to be a misconception about religion.

many christians use religion to guide their own behavior, not to judge someone else's behavior.
