I am surprised you live in Texas and really took the sudeding thing seriously? I would guess if you are serious, you wouldn't support him no matter where is stood on issues.

So, his suggestion to secede was supposed to be another one of those "not intended to be a factual statements"??

He played that card because he thought he would gian from that. He played the prayer card purely because he knew he would gain from that. He seems to be more self-serving than others. You are right - I would not vote for him.

Is it because she's so formidible an opponent, has no record so there is nothing to attack or is it because she's the one they want to see up against Obama? They can't do Number 2 as their guy was a lightweight when he ran for president and that would be pointed out for sure. So which is it - formidible or the candidate the Democrats want to see run against Obama?
I do think most dems want to see her up against Obama because they feel she would be the easiest to beat.

Let's just put it this way, we lived in Texas for many years, a lot of our family and friends are still there: our son in laws entire family are there (born and raised) and not one took him seriously.. I will add they are all supporting him big time. This does show a diffrerence of opinions: some seem to take the statement with a grain of salt like Obama saying there are 57 states or Palin saying she could see Russia from her backyard, others take every word seriously. Only you know how you view such statements.

Agree - he could be a great joker (about seceding) or a manipulating opportunistic slimebag. We all use our judgement.

I wonder where this comes from?

"Interviewed on Des Moines-based WHO on Monday, Perry took some tough questions from listeners who may all have been working from the same script. The host, Jan Mickelson, said he’s been “deluged” with anti-Perry articles, including 150-plus copies of the same 14-point letter."

Rick Perry grilled on WHO radio in Iowa - Maggie Haberman - POLITICO.com

Let me guess?

Do we have to guess? I think most of us have an idea. Boy is this race going to get dirty. I read he did a great job in Iowa last night.

This post demonstrates that the interest in the right wing has little to do with the condition of the nation, but to get the Kenyan Marxist Fascist Socialist Plutocrat Oligarch Arab Muslim... out of the office. Anything but him.

Perry could end up being everything you hate about Obama and then some.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry gets more scrutiny as GOP hopeful
