Ignored by the media and dismissed by the Republican Party in general, liberty-minded Congressman Ron Paul leaped into third place today in the Gallup Presidential Nomination preference poll. Paul jumped over Michele Bachmann, the Tea Party darling/lunatic, relegating her to fourth-place in the current poll. Here's how the numbers shake out today.
  • Rick Perry, Texas Governor: 29%
  • Mitt Romney, former Massachusetts Governor: 17%
  • Ron Paul, Texas Congressman: 13%
  • Michele Bachmann, Minnesota Congresswoman: 10%
That's right. Ron Paul jumped into third place...and the media continues to ignore his candidacy. I can't explain it as anything other than outright bias against the man and his ideas

Of course someone in the media will read that poll as follows:

"We have Rick Perry first with 29% support, Romney in second with 17%, and Bachmann dropped to forth with 13%"

It was thanks to Santorum breaking the sacrosanct rule of not acknowledging what Ron Paul says that finally got Ron Paul some mainstream attention rather than a brief 2 second mention and what got Jon Stewart to do his hit piece on the mainstream media (yes, Hannity, that includes you too)

At his age I don't think Ron Paul is jumping past anyone. More like he stepped on Bachmans corpse after Perry ran her over

the media and right wing radio ignoring Ron Paul is backfiring big time.and Bachman is not the Tea Party darling if you actually get out and not depend on the so called news.
