Article from The Iowa Republican:

Quote:
Herman Cain Only Has Himself to Blame

After another horrible news cycle for Cain yesterday, he is now blaming Rick Perry’s campaign for giving the story to Politico. Cain doesn’t have any concrete proof that Perry aides gave the story to Politico, but in doing so it helps him perpetuate the victim status that his campaign has placed its hopes on.

This is a pretty good article that puts a little perspective into the situation IMO.

I'm suprized that so many posters don't realize how often cases are settled outside of court just to make them go away. I guess people don't pay attention to how many people go with a plea bargain rather than going to court. It's quite common.

Anyway, I found this interesting.

Hey Politico! Here's Why Your Herman Cain Sex Story Doesn't Matter

Why is Herman Cain's wife going to get involved with this? Obviously, she wasn't there when the alleged incidents took place so what exactly is she going to contribute?

I'm not a fan of political wives publicly standing by their man when the man is in a mess.

Default Rasmussen Poll: Cain still ahead after sexual harassment firestorm

26% Cain
23% Romney
14% Gingrich
8% Perry
7% Paul
2% Bachmann
2% Huntsman
1% Santorum
13% Undecided

Poll conducted after 3 whole days of media coverage over Cain's alleged sexual harassment charges. It's sad that someone like Huntsman can't poll higher in today's GOP. He's basically Romney in human form, and without the mountain of flip-flops. The rest of the field= a bunch of clowns.

Election 2012: Republican Presidential Primary - Rasmussen Reports™

Now here's the real interesting thing: both Cain and Romney lost points from the previous Rasmussen national poll (-3 and -6, respectively) , but Gingrich is +4.

Is Newt the next flavor of the month?

Newt will be the next flavor of the month...unless some of his skeletons start to fall out of his old closet and it's a full closet. Until something more concrete comes out on this Cain thing, he won't be hurt much by it, but some of hs doubters will go to Newt more than likely. Now if something more and with substance or details comes out on Cain, those supporters will probably shift to Newt.

Let's see how he polls in a week, if he's still even in the race by then.
