Businessman Herman Cain told senior members of his campaign on a conference call this morning that he is reassessing whether or not to remain in the Republican presidential race.
“It’s a reassessment of where we stand and the road ahead, similar to other times in the campaign’s history,” wrote Cain spokesman J.D. Gordon in an email to the Fix. Gordon said that Cain will deliver his planned national security speech later this week in Michigan.
“He is not thinking of dropping out of the race,” Gordon added. “He is simply reassessing the state of the campaign. We intend to be full speed ahead.”
One adviser said that Cain will ponder his prospects over the the next few days and will make a decision by the end of the week.
Call it. Cain will end the presidential campaign leg of his book tour before the Iowa Caucus. He's carried out this piece of theater about as long as he can. Time to start raking-in the cash by appearing on cable news and giving speeches at social clubs and churches.

He'll need to attend a sex addiction farm for a while first to clear his name and bandage up his wounded reputation.

Yep.....carrying out the GOP tradition started by Sarah Palin. LOL
LOL. I just read this and got a huge grin on my face.
Ah, yes. Mr. Christian values family values man. Yet ANOTHER one falls. So much for Christian values.
At first I was somewhat hesitant of accusing Herman Cain when the first or two accusations came out but now I have no doubt he is a sexually aggressive person....and that he will not be the next president of the USA.
