Since we already have Paul vs. Obama and Gingrich vs. Obama I thought I'd start a poll measuring how many people here would vote for Jon Huntsman against Obama if he were the GOP nominee.

Tough call. I actually like both of them. I'd have to hear more about Huntsman to get over the hump of not voting for a Dem.

Hunstman, easily. He is the only Republican running that I would vote for against Obama.

I've always liked him, but he really impressed me after the CBS foreign policy debate. The only reservation I have about Hunstman is that he is constantly attacking Mitt "Flip Flop" Romney in NH. We all know Romney is a lying, flip-flopping piece of shît, we don't need someone to constantly remind us.

Huntsman needs to realize that people vote FOR someone, not AGAINST someone. He would be doing much better in New Hamphshire if he simply sold himself, rather than merely attack his opponents.

Same here

I haven't studied up on him to much since the GOP goof troop has been running like it has been.

Might be a really tough race for Obama if Huntsman were to "automagically" get the GOP nod.

I have said all along that I am looking for a good option to avoid having to vote for Obama again.

Huntsman presents that clear alternative-------he is creative, intelligent, meticulously organized, and is a very concise person who is not a flamethrower or idealogue.

For all those reasons Huntsman would be a great alternative. However, for all the clearly defined reasons why Hunstman would be a good alternative for the repubs, he simply has no shot----since he is not a six shooter and slogan master. After all, why present a candidate who has a creative mind and foresight, when you can obviously present another gun slinger to the nation???

Unfortunately this is too true. How refreshing it would be to have a real choice on this next election. As it is, we will be given a choice between disappointing and crazy. I will have to go with disappointing because it is too dangeous to go with crazy. Seriously, can you imagine Newt dealing with a crisis or negotiating in a sensitive situation with other country leaders? He'd have us in a nuclear war within a month of taking office.

Huntsman is a bit too-much of a neo-con for me. He isn't that much different than the others when it comes to war.
