“When you see his appointment of two, from my perspective, inarguably activist judges whether it was …” Perry said in the Des Moines Register editorial board meeting, pausing for six seconds. “Not Montemayor …”
“Sotomayor,” a member of the editorial board interrupted.
“Sotomayor, Sotomayor,” Perry said. “And Kagan are both activist judges.”

“For Washington to tell a local school district that you cannot have a prayer and a time of prayer in that school is, I think, offensive to most Americans. I trust the people of the states to make those decisions. I trust those independent school districts to make those decisions better than eight unelected, and frankly, unaccountable judges”

I guess Rick Perry just loathes the concept of judicial review.
(pretending for a moment that he even understands the concept -- one would think that at the very least, he saw Schoolhouse Rock's "Three Ring Government" during the break between Scooby Doo and The Superfriends back in the day ... but I guess not ... )
Do you realize how you are all sounding like a bunch of kids on the elementary school yard as recess? It almost sounds like you all support bullying cause that is what you are doing...Let's get our group together and pick on someone today. One of you starts the attack and you all stand around and put your 2 cents worth in..The interesting thing, most of the time, it is the same bullies that are playing the game..Now, go home, your mother is calling you, it is time for dinner for bed.
Perry seems to be approaching this election the same way he approached his college classes. He's never fully prepared. The result in college was poor grades. I'd rather not see what the results would be if he were President of the United States. (The college grades that concern me most are the economics and U.S. History ones. This is a man who has been interested in politics since he was a child - so he should have cared about learning those subjects.)
How many justices on the Supreme Court? That's junior high stuff, it's pretty basic, and I definitely want the President to know it. Everyone has a bad day; everyone has the occasional memory lapse. But as we know, this is not the only time. Either he isn't smart enough, or he isn't trying hard enough, or he does have some other limitation that makes him unqualified for the #1 job.
I'm not trying to be mean to the guy, but I'm not worried about hurting his feelings, either. He's trying to be the President, and I think he is not qualified.
