I also live in a state that allows write-ins, but they are not counted unless the candidate is registered as a write-in.

Nonetheless, writing in Ron Paul, or something like sound money policy or end the phony war on drugs, at least sends a subliminal message (see Vaclav Havel's essay The Power of the Powerless).

Also, please realize that a handful of senators and a group of representatives can be just as powerful as the president. Try to vote in such a way that increases the chances that the status quo candidates give each other indigestion (the monster has two heads, but the body is one). It has sort of worked since the 2010 elections.

Good Luck!

Given the future of Obamacare depends on who gets the USSC judge in next I would vote for Romney if I lived in a battleground state. I don't, I would vote Libertarian or write in Paul.

How many threads do we have with this question now?

I will write in Ron Paul's name. He gets my vote, period. No one else currently running deserves it because they do not uphold the US Constitution 100% and would by lying when they take the oath of office as POTUS!

I've voted for "the lesser of two evils" all my adult life. This is the very failing which has brought our Constitutional Republic to her knees by this Marxist dicator in training otherwise known as BHO.

Seriously though, what about sitting it out (or skipping the bubble) as an option? NC doesn't allow/count write-ins
NC will count them if Dr. Paul files as a write-in candidate, so don't automatically count that option out. If he doesn't get the nod I have a feeling there will be a big push for him to declare himself a write-in candidate in all states where it is an option

The only states that don't allow write-ins at all are Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and South Dakota.

I wish I had bookmarked the website where I found this information.

I think most of us will write-in Dr. Paul or not vote.

Screw the GOP. If they don't nominate Paul, I'd love to see them go down in flames.

I'm voting in local elections, just skipping the presidential if a hard-core fiscal conservative isn't on the ballot. I only see one remaining. One was never allowed in the debates and has since dropped out.

What if the write-in was a Obama 2008 supporter? Do they still thank them then?
