NYT/CBS: Bleeding Indies, Trust Republicans More with Economy (voters, security, campaign)

As Mr. Obama moves toward a full-throated campaign, delivering a State of the Union address on Tuesday and inching closer to directly confronting his Republican challenger, a majority of independent voters have soured on his presidency, disapprove of how he has dealt with the economy and do not have a clear idea of what he hopes to accomplish if re-elected.

Here's obama's glimmer of "hope", according to the NYTs;

The poll found that 28 percent of the public says the economy is getting better, which is the biggest sense of optimism found in a Times/CBS News poll since last February.

Yeah, you read that right. 28% say the economy is getting better and that is a supposed good thing for obama.

And this is with a 10% chasm between dems and reps.

Repugs repeatedly prove they can spend money and pander to their friends. Their record deficits are parr for the course. All they know how to do is ruin the nations credit rating and spend money / or print it.

I don't trust a Repug with a dime of the nations funds!
