Dobson and his bunch are located in Colorado Springs. Those of us in metro Denver mostly think he's a joke, and there are a lot more of us! I never heard of Michelle Malkin until I started posting on CD, and I have lived in CO for 31, almost 32 now, years.

I would say James Dobson's group has a whole lot to do with the culture change there. I never realized Colorado was like that either. The odd thing is that Romney carried it 60% last time around. Of course, he was the 'conservative' alternative to McCain then also...so maybe it's what is perceived as establishment backlash. This is the most messed up primary I can ever remember.
I wouldn't say Colorado is like that, Republicans in Colorado, now that is another story. The GOP base in the state has become more and more conservative, and to top that off the old school more moderate Republicans in suburban Denver have fled the party in mass. Just look how much Jefferson & Arapahoe have moved compared to the national average.

With that being said the loss in Colorado for Romney was shocking, and really was quite a big defeat. The fact he barely won Jefferson was stunning.

MN counties also convening today..

Ground report from a Paul supporter.

Quote:
Went to my county convention today, ron got ALL 8 delegates to the state convention! WERE COM'IN BABY! We just need to stay patient, things are going to get REALLY interesting.

Edit: You should have seen the look on the faces of these two "establishment" guys. They had gone to every state convention for 20 years (and were obvious Santy supporters)....they got CRUSHED!!! It was amazing....they were soooooo pissed!!!

Breaking..Paul supporters taking over CO too..

Ground report from Paul folks..

Quote:
edit breaking news for denver colorado wolverinessssssss, breaking news cd 1 district 4 10/10 ron paul slate going to state. We did the best in my denver district with 100% ron paul slate ! I will get update for other districts tomorrow just too dam tired right now. We did well in all districts there is a strong chance after april the media will have to eat their own crap and say who won colorado, guess who? We will know in april

for following Robert's Rules of Order. Sorry no video but i was that supporter. I did 2 things point of order and point of info and basically got threatened. Point of Info was to ask how they were going to feed 700 folks in 15 minutes, they finally buckled and made it 20-30 minutes and had several breaks. Then they had some rules they had passed out and then they amended the rules. So i made a point of info since not one of the 700 folks had a copy of the amendment to the rules. My point of info was to please read the amendment so folks knew what it was. you would of thought i was trying to nominate Obama as a republican candidate on the floor. I was told to shut up sit down and a few other kind words(note sarcasm) and let them do what they do,of course i did neither. I was following rules.

In the end the gop stopped trying to railroad things. I will have delegate info soon just waiting to post it once i have it on the site. I basically had to tell a few status quo,if your that upset with me following the rules. Then change them bastards!!!!!!!! In the end i didn't do a damn thing wrong, well maybe i did i was not going to rubberstamp status quo!! I think we did very well even with the gop establishment bull****!!!

Ron Paul 2012 , i even stayed calm though i am pretty sure my face was red as hell!! I didn't get escorted out or arrested. The only folks making a fuss were neo-cons or gop est. In the end i followed all rules and that must of been what upset the gop establishment. I got alot of compliments from ron paul supporters and even a few santorum/newt/romney folks came up to apologize for what happened to me. I wear my heart on my shoulders so even with all the reinforcement it still made me think i did something wrong . When i did not!! We must be scaring the f out of them I will have updates later tonight. I need to go out and unwind. I was there at 5am to help set up signs and various things for our camp finally got out of there around 5pm and they are still counting votes. We did good though how good gotta wait and see Ron Paul 2012 Wolverines!!!!! There will be Peace When WE ARE DONE!!!!!!

Just saw this. All the metro Denver counties except Adams went for Romney, even Douglas Co just north of ElPaso and the nutcases. Romney won by 3% points in Jefferson Co; that was his lowest margin in the metro area.

Ground report from Paul folks in MN.

Quote:
MAJOR FLOOR FIGHT in MN-SD49 GOP! Establishment tried to ram through their slate, but we stopped them by a hair. Lots of yelling, thought there was going to be a riot. It's a major establishment stronghold, and let's just say, they are NOT happy that we are here. Too bad for them. The convention started at 9am, it's 19:45 and still ongoing.....details to follow in a day or two.

Ron Paul wins Missouri GOP caucuses in Jackson County, St. Louis - Columbia Missourian

Quote:
Ron Paul supporters have won the majority of delegates during caucuses in Jackson County and St. Louis.

Most Missouri counties caucused last weekend, but Jackson County and St. Louis decided to move their caucuses to Saturday. One reason is both communities put on popular St. Patrick's Day parades.

Party officials said that during Saturday's caucuses, Ron Paul supporters won all 36 of the St. Louis delegates and about two-thirds of Jackson County's 179 delegates. The remaining Jackson County delegates support Mitt Romney.

The 2,123 people picked in the local caucuses will advance to congressional district conventions April 21 and a state convention June 2. It's at those meetings that the bulk of Missouri's 52 delegates will be bound to presidential candidates.
¡Viva la Revolución!
