Ronverts: Breaking Up with Obama, Rebounding with Ron Paul - News - GOOD

For every former Obama supporter out there who got duped by the "Hope & Change" malarkey, and who got on board with the _real_ Hope & Change, Ron Paul, this is the story of your life.

I am no way or ever was a OBAMA supporter.. but I think the most important thing I think "democrats and independent" learn from Paul is liberty.
Small government vs big government and the REPUBLICAN Party needs to get back to its roots and Ron Paul is that leader to get America there.
To think hippy, potential socialist thinkers might have gotten some knowledge from Ron Paul shows America still has hope. The chance that Mittens, Newt and Rick are going to change brainwashed progressive liberals thinking would never happen with them running for office. They dont have the record, they dont have the GRASSROOTS support and most of the all they dont have the HEART and PASSION of the constitution. A young generation seeking TRUTH and fiscal responsiblity and small government is the best thing Ron Paul has done for this country. He has exposed what this government has become and generations of Americans will fight the good fight because truth can not be silenced in the minds and hearts of free people. Ron Paul is undoing the years of public education big government programing that has taken americas youth towards liberty, individual rights and honesty.

I supported Obama in 2008 and I'd like to thank his Puppetry Presidency for forcing me to research another candidate, Dr. Ron Paul.

If only Paul wasn't so old. If only he could articulate his positions in a way the clueless voters could understand. If only he didn't blame US foreign policy for terrorist attacks on the US.

If only he could WIN, I'd vote for him.

Paul's a quack with a fringe following of loud talkers which is why he gets a lot of hype but very few actual votes.

Well that sure didn't take long for the Paul haters to come in and hijack this thread too.

Only in your dreams

I respect Ron Paul but almost half of his ideas make it he will never be elected as they scare people off.

True, but you will only be attacked for stating it.

If you were an Obama supporter in 2008 and still is, good for you. Your priorities might be different. But there are a lot of us who has left the sinking ship. You only say "only in your dreams" to something which never ever happens. But a lot of former Obama supporters moving to Paul is very real. Did you not read the article, because it outlines the experience of several such people?

All, can we please keep the general Paul hate comments out of this thread and just keep the discussion to the topic?

Do you not care about liberty?

Do you not care about the foundation of this country?

Do you scorn George Washington?

Do you love big government and sending our children overseas to die?
