Basically, he is saying that you shouldn't be allowed to use contraception during sex, because then it becomes about "pleasure". He wants sex to be used for procreation purposes and that's it. This, along with his other claims that "Americans shouldn't have privacy" etc., makes me think that he would want government installed cameras in every bedroom in America to make sure that people don't use condoms and every time they have sex, a baby is created. This might seem farfetched to some of you, but with his maniac, we can never be sure. He might very well use an Executive Order to get all this done. How can we stop this madman?
Basically, he is articulating the Catholic doctrine - sex is to only be done for procreation.
I am in no way a Santorum supporter, but he has stated publicly he does not favor a ban on contraception whatsoever. And in no way do I believe that Congress would ever pass such a measure anyways. It wouldn't fly anywhere.

This fight over contraception (or abortion for that matter) isn't a "religious war"- and Obama didn't start it. It's all about the patriarchal elements (mainly some white male Christian Republicans) in our society trying to assert control over women's bodies.
Conservatives want to roll back all the freedoms won over the past 100 years by the underclasses. Women and the sexual revolution is just one of their main targets.
The GOP doesn't just want women barefoot and in the kitchen- they want them knocked-up, barefoot, and in the kitchen.
That's the subtext to all this Christian Dominion stuff. The message behind having Romney and Santorum trot out their 5-7 children at every whistle-stop. The message behind Bachmann's vow of fealty and obedience to her husband.
How can Santorum be stopped? He'll stop himself. Unfortunately for the GOP, women won the right to vote in 1919 (and you just know that's on their "wish they could repeal" list)

Santorum's on the record all over the place talking about the "evils" of contraception. He most definitely would ban it, if he could.
I dont buy the argument "Well, it's OK if the president has kooky ideas about X, he can't do anything about them anyway". Even if he was a GENIOUS at foreign policy, the economy, etc, a guy with a 12th Century brain like Santorum doesn't belong anywhere near the WH .
All I can say was the worst sex I ever had was wonderful.
