The liar- in- chief has been saying that the hateful US uses 26% of the worlds oil but we have only 2% of the oil. Well the latest study shows that we have at least 26% of the worlds oil. That is not even counting the shale reserves, natural gas and coal.

Do you understand the difference between production and reserves? If the liar-in -chief continues draconian regulations that discourage drilling, and will not issue permits on public lands, and will not approve pipelines then the US will never PRODUCE what is in the ground. No Obama is a liar. He knows darn well that we are one of the most energy rich counties on earth. If he would get out of the way we could add 100's of thousands of high paying union jobs and really get this economy moving.

This is what you're blathering on about, right?
Republicans say new study belies Obama claim US has 2 percent of world oil | Fox News

Quote:
The president and the USGS, though, are referring to different kinds of oil reserves.

What the president talks about is "proven oil reserves" -- or oil deposits that have been discovered and are considered viable.

In the other, much bigger, category are the "undiscovered, technically recoverable" reserves -- or all the other stuff geologists estimate is out in the world regardless of how accessible or economically viable it might be. That's what the USGS looked at.
What planet do you live on where undiscovered, economically unviable reserves that might or might not exist "prove" anything?
