do you really think the majority of those in other countries support him? I hope you are not serious. Have you heard of minority but very vocal groups? That is exactly what this is....

So you don't see them at a Republican Primary, but you do see them gobbling up delegate spots for the precincts.
so why did he run as a Republican? Isn't that a little hypocritical? Can you explain this? It seems he has been all over the place, a Republican, a Libartarian, a member of the Tea Party, a candidate without Tea Party support, it is getting a bit confusing...

I don't view it as hypocritical. I don't subscribe to political tribalism. I vote for an individual. These labels are generally applied to box people in. It has worked quite well.

The associations others are making about what group RP is in is on them not Paul. He had other affiliations earlier on then became R and has been for quite awhile. Plenty of candidates have shifted parties over the yrs so it really is not very important.

The Tea party thing became heavily co-opted, like Occupy.

He's running as a Republican because that is what he's been for the past 12 times he's run for Congress and was elected each of those times. He can't help it if his messages are popular across the board to everyone in all parties. It isn't hypocritical. That is the wrong adjective.

People in other countries like hearing a leader from our country say that they think America should bring its troops home from their countries where they are now occupied. Nobody likes a neighborhood bully and that is how we are seen by other nations in a neighborhood of nations. We have been "the policeman of the world" as Ron Paul calls it and we have no right to be that.

Do a little research. Other countries are VERY interested in what goes on here and many foreigners know more about politics in this country than most Americans do.

He is arguably one of the worst political campaigners in modern American history seeking the presidency.

He lacks the money and the campaign infrastructure to launch a successful bid for the presidency.

Any economist worth the weight of his or her degree KNOWS a return to the gold standard is a 19th century solution to 21 st century problems. As well as his calls to abolish the FED.

He has NEVER won a statewide election. I'm not talking about primary and not caucuses, I'm taking about an actual statewide election.

The base of Ron Paul supporters is simply not big enough to get him elected.
Sounds to me like someone needs to do some homework on Ron Paul.

You left out an important part of the quote from australia,it reads "his support is as wide as an ocean-several in fact, but sadly for him only as deep as a puddle" Why the selective editing??

I often actually do read the links provided by the Paul diehards and they often aren't anything to get excited about when read in their entireity or when the source is considered.
