Romney is going to win the popular vote by 7. That translates to a win.

any drop is worth mentioning even though it is 5 months away; I agree 5 months is a long time, but right now, things just keep looking worse and worse for his re-election. No one is saying it's all over, but you do have to admit or should anyway, he isn't a shoe-in by any means.

Bottom line, Obama is struggling. His performance as president is not viewed well by most Americans.
That's because most Americans have not the slightest clue as to economics, and especially what's going on right now and what's in store. They are looking at one thing, and one thing only: The unemployment rate. Somehow we have become fixated on 5% as THE goal line. The concept that we may never reach that level ever again, and that 7-8% unemployment may actually be the new 5%, is never raised in the media. It should be. We may look back on this time and say, "Ya know, 8.2% wasn't so bad after all."

And then there is the complicity of the Republicans, especially in the House. Since when do you get to block everything a President does, and then decry that same President for not being able to get anything done? Isn't that kinda like killing your parents and then throwing yourself on the mercy of the court because you're an orphan?

5% was the goal line for decades. Lowering expectations is not an acceptable solution.

If the Republicans want to tell themselves fairytales in order to convince themselves that Romney has a chance...by all means knock yourselves out.

The fact remains that Romney has not been able to articulate HOW he is better than President Obama and WHAT he will do differently for America. People are not angry enough to vote for the GOP and their lack of solutions.

OBAMA 2012!!!!

I have a feeling you would have laughed at Republicans who made this argument for Bush when he was at 6% unemployment.

Since when does Senate get to refuse to take up anything passed in the House, not pass something them self, and then blame it on the House while their adoring legions cheer them on?

OBAMA 2012!!!!
What is Obama's solution for Social Security besides weakening it by reducing the payroll tax?

What is Obama's solution for his promise to cut the deficit in half?
