The rabid right regularly come up with all kinds of bizarre fantasy scenarios that they then take great pleasure in being outraged over.

And to justify their racism by projecting it onto somebody else.

Ie: "We'll TOTALLY accept her, but those idiot libbies will call her an N*** and the following things: !"

Rice as VP would be like the tail (Rice) wagging the Dog (Romney).

Like Obama fans cause they think Rice would be a mistake for Romney?

That would put a nail in the coffin of his campaign. The only worse candidate I can imagine is Dick Cheney...or another member of the Bush family cartel.

The one thing that liberals seem to dispise more than anything else are successful minorities...just seems to get under their skin that they get ahead without the government playing nanny.
Between me, the dogs, and the granola, there is absolutely no room in the Prius for racism.

Really though, by the very definition, racism doesn't fit within the liberal paradigm. Perhaps you've confused us with another group.

Aside from that, it's not as if Ms. Rice is a new face. Would I vote for her? No. But, as far as republicans go, I certainly wouldn't place her with the likes Palin or Cain. Heck, she'd probably be more offended by your grouping of her with Palin and Cain than anything I would say about her...

I wouldn't vote for a Romney/Rice ticket, either. However, I believe she'd help the GOP ticket reign-in some of the "Independents" who left the GOP because of the extremism, and she certainly knows her way around the White House and national security/issues/internationalism to make a credible Vice President. He could do much worse. As a supporter of President Obama I hope Romney picks someone other than Ms. Rice.

Pick Miss Rice, mr romney. It will just remind voters of the failures of the George W Bush administration.

Ms. Rice isn't appealing to those that believe the GOP is too extreme. She was part of the most extreme right-wing Administration in 100 years. She hyped the War with Iraq as NSA chair and alienated our allies as Sec. of State.

Romney might only consider Rice based on the cynical view that she would peel away some black voters from Obama -- the same way McCain thought that Palin would win over disaffected Hillary voters.
