Mitt is only floating Rice's name to make it look like he'd be open to a woman and a black on his ticket. In fact, he is not interested in a female VP or a black. How would that fit in with his Anglo-Saxon ideal of America that he's been talking about in England?
Mitt is not floating it, his campaign is: as for the reason, you have no more idea than any of us have, why anything is happening. All this is, right now, is speculation. The only people who know who is on the list are his campaign staff and probably Mitt himself, there in no reason be think he would not choose a female of any color. I think some libs might actually be afraid this could happen, so they are hoping above hope, it won't. There certainly are reasons to think Rice could be considered and just as may reasons to think she would not be considered.

A black female rumored to be a lesbian that is pro-choice and supports civil unions for gays.
Doubt this will happen. Too connected to Bush the younger. Nobody in the Republican party wants a repeated referendum on the ex-president again especially since the country elected a neophyte in his place.

What did you have to smoke to come up with that hallucination? If you can read the minds of top political candidates from afar, why are you wasting your time posting here; why not use your psychic power to make money on intrade.
BTW the 'Anglo-Saxon' comment came (supposedly) from an 'unnamed advisor,' not from Romney. It could have been some drunk Brit who emailed the campaign to offer advice.

I'm not buying the "unnamed advisor" story. It came from a newpaper that has a LOT of "unnamed sources". And I mean a LOT. Brits love a juicy scandal.

Susana Martinez is still on the list. Female, Hispanic, Governor of New Mexico. She wouldn't scare the independents like Palin did/does, She's not a hold over from the GWB administration, and she could deliver a state that right now is slightly leaning to Obama.
