btw i am an independent who voted for an independent and republican in the 2010 elections so i dont want to hear that stuff about being an obama supporter.

christie wouldve been a better pick.
Yeah, but he has a way of being to harsh sometimes. I like him but not a good match with Romney.

Ryan is giving a very good speech, too bad he doesnt practice what he preaches. He voted for so many govt programs, stimulus, tarp, prescription drugs, etc... He also tells a bold face lie about medicare, because he too had the same cuts in the program, now suddenly those cuts are gone?

The greatest belittlement of people of every class, creed and color is government dependency.

Ryan did that speech without a teleprompter. Watch out Joe Biden.

Overall for the evening speeches...thought Dr. Rice was truly, truly excellent. I really enjoy hearing her thoughts. I thought Ryan was good. I always wondered if he would be able to give a 'rousing' speech and I thought he did very well. He had the right tone and he actually did humor pretty well, which is not easy to do in a speech.

Isn't that what happened in 2003?
I wouldn't compare Syria and Iraq....I do agree with Condi in regards to the UN Security Council being a flawed body. Syria is butchering its people and the UN is being limited by countries who definitely do not have the best interest of Syria's people in mind.

That said I missed the part about where she wants to fight a war, there are other solutions. Kind of sad how every time a Republican wants to America to show its strength and lead they are labeled as a warmonger.

So did Dr. Rice. Pretty impressive - I couldn't do that!

I'm not so sure about that, which frightens me a little. No matter how many times they're corrected on the false statement that Obama gutted Welfare and removed the work requirement, they continue to say it. They obviously don't care. It's like the birther movement. They believe if you say something over and over and over again, even if it is untrue, enough people will believe it.
