But we are told Rasmussen is a rightwing shill when he shows Romney ahead in Wisconsin and Michigan. Can't have it both ways.

It is, you just have to add Obama +5 to their polls and that will get you the real results

Rasmussen has Romney up 1 in Wisconsin, which has the same number of electorals as Missouri. So just trade them off. Personally,I would be surprised if Romney won Wisconsin.

PPP also has Romney up 1 in Wisconsin.

I think it's amusing that lefties trust PPP and actually say it's reliable but laugh at Rasmussen even though they usually trust Nate Silver and Nate Silver found PPP to be more biased than Rasmussen.

I also love how they suddenly say that Obama is up by more than 1 in Missouri given that it's Rasmussen that says he's up by 1 even though PPP (which they usually trust) says Romney is up by 10 in MO.

BTW - Rasmussen hasn't put out any polls showing Romney up in MI, at least not that I'm aware of. Other pollsters have released polls showing Romney up in MI.

Unless of course the rightwing wants him to drop out by showing he has no chance in heck of winning....

You mean Romney or Akin? Polling certainly indicates that Romney has a chance of winning. Why would anyone who wanted Romney to drop out put out a poll showing him winning in blue states like WI and MI? Not to mention....Rasmussen has not put out any polls that I'm aware of that show Romney leading Obama in MI. WI? Yes, but so has PPP of all pollsters.

As far as Akin (and I assume you were referring to Akin), I do think Rasmussen oversampled Democrats in this poll because they want Akin to drop out. I also think PPP oversampled Republicans in their poll that showed Akin up by 1 because they want Akin to stay in.

I doubt Obama wins Missouri. He didn't win it in 2008,and outside of St.Louis and Kansas City it is a very conservative red state. It must also be noted that in 2010 that state voted 71-29% on an anti-Obamacare amendment.

That's an old map. Isaac is now expected to go further to the west:

I wonder what that Dirt Bag Glen Beck would be saying????

No one should be making jokes having to do with a tropical storm that's likely to become a hurricane. It looks like it's probably going to hit somewhere and cause a lot of destruction and put a lot of people's lives at risk. It's serious.

We shouldn't be talking about it and politics in the same context. We're all Americans. I think it's sad if anyone doesn't see it the same way. I would hope that we could all put our political beliefs aside and hope the storm stays away from the coast entirely.
