What a bunch of pathetic lip service. "Oh that Paul Ryan sure loves his mom.", "I Love WOMENNNNN!!", Mitt talking about his mother saying "Why can't women have an equal say in how this country is run?" Those are the only ones that I remember, I'm sure that there were more.

Not lip service. It felt real to me, especially Ryan's love and admiration of his mom.

I didn't think it was lip service...I just didn't care.

I have no idea why we have to hear their whole life stories...oh his dad brought his mom a rose everyday THAT makes me confident he'll be a good president.

Don't forget the cameras plowing through the crowd looking for women. And, Hispanics. Heck, they even found the one black delegate!

The whole message was carefully crafted, right down to camera angles.

Haha. that's EXACTLY what I was getting at!! They keep commenting how ryan's frequent mentioning of his mom and grandmother makes him seem more sympathetic and sensitive to the Medicare question. That's how it seems to me.

Chris Christy did a whole lot of talking about his mother as well. I think the word went out to all the speakers that they needed to kiss up to women and they thought their odes to motherhood would do it.

Between that and speaking Spanish at the convention when Republicans always lead the charge for the English-as-the-national-language movement just turned my stomach.

Romney talking about immigration got to me, too. Considering he thinks all illegals should self-deport. So compassionate to those hoping to take advantage of the Dream Act.

Whine, whine, whine. Try to not let the bitterness consume your lives. Democrats do not hold a monopoly on respect for women, no matter how much they try to crowbar that narrative into place.
