The weak list of Obama accomplishments tally which was posted the week before last had me thinking what are the substantive parts of MR's plans.
I do not wish to vote for Obama based on his performance the previous few years but I would like to know what I am voting for in MR which deals with our main issue-the economy. I went to Mittromney.com and read his stand on issues and really there is very little regarding how to upset the one-sided trade agreements with other countries and how to bring select manufacturing to our country. Did not see anything of weight regarding the deficit and future looming issues with student loan debt and the decline of the middle class. Nothing in detail on dealing with SS/Medicare reform and Defense spending.
In fact, it sounded more like Obama, in the weak, general and limited approach, but with an emphasis on helping the monied class without controls to how those privileges translate into benefits to the U.S. economy and working class. I realize there are no private jobs unless there is money and motiviation to invest in it. But the government can provide the stick to ensure the type of jobs which benefit the largest number of businesses stay in the U.S.
Am I mistaken here? I saw a few lines and that was it. No detail with, here is the important part, with intended objectives and where the tie in to overall benefits. I mean it was appalling and pathetic. One sees a massive amount of additional detail regarding benefits/1st tier outcomes/2d tier, etc. in an MBA program business proposal plan(what I do for a living) or military operation (what my brother does for a living).
I left the site thinking... there goes another wasted four years.
How do you restore the $716 billion cuts to medicare, the $489 billion reduction in military spending, repeal the Affordable Health Care act and lose an additional $109 billon in deficit reductions while cutting revenue by $5 trillion dollars and balance the federal budget? I don't see it, and maybe that's why Romney isn't giving any specifics. Either he is lying (nothing new there) or he's pulling the wool over a lot of Republican's eyes.
Nothing at all.
Everyone in this country is expendable under their plans.
