It's about time an American politician pointed out the truth about the middle East. The more I hear from Romney, the more I like him.

Years ago, the Hamas charter had a passage saying that Hamas was committed to the destruction of Israel and the annihilation of its people. Does anyone know if that passage has finally been removed? Or is it still in there?

Most "Palestinian" people, of course, are not violent people. They have no interest in destroying Israel, and would rather be left alone to live their lives, raise their kids, etc. They really don't care one way or another about Israel at all. But their fanatic militant leaders have crafted an odd situation, in which they have become a permanent victim class, forbidden to assimilate, grow, or prosper.

Oddest thing about the "Palestinian" people, is the way their extremist militant leaders got the UN to modify its definition of "refugees". A "refugee" used to be a person driven from his home and living somewhere else in exile. Such refugees usually get absorbed into the country of residence. But the UN somehow decided that, in the unique case of these "Palestinians", their descendants would also be known as "refugees" - a situation unique in world history, and one that guarantees a constant supply of "refugees" forever, waiting for a "solution" that will never come: the destruction of Israel.

Most of the "Palestinian" people describing themselves as "refugees", were in fact born where they live now, and cannot be considered "refugees" from anything. Except possibly from the various Arab countries who refused to take their original refugee ancestors, or themselves, in.

Video: Republican Mitt Romney lambastes 2-state solution

US Republican presidential candidate filmed at fundraising dinner saying Palestinians "have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace," adding Iran would use nuclear capability to blackmail US.

US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney questioned the feasibility of the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, according to video footage published Tuesday by US magazine Mother Jones.

"I'm torn by two perspectives in this regard," Romney said at a $50,000-per-plate fundraising dinner on May 17. "One is the one which I've had for some time, which is that the Palestinians have no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish."

Romney then launched into a hypothetical scenario in which Israelis allow the Palestinians to establish a state in the West Bank but are then forced to contend with unsolvable security and border issues.

It is "maybe seven miles from Tel Aviv to what would be the West Bank," he said, repeating an oft-cited Israeli security concern alleging that an opposing Arab army in the West Bank could cut Israel in half horizontally in a matter of minutes. "And now how about the airport?" he asked.

All he did was state facts. You know we are in deep doo doo when a politician speaks his mind, unapologetically, and the media (including FOX) calls it a gaffe.

I guess we really don't want honest politicians.

We wouldn't have to worry about the good or bad disposition of the Palestinians but for our unaccountable, silly habit of babysitting and enabling Israel.

Yeah, we should just let the Palestinians, Iranians etc. kill them all. Once they're all dead, the rest of the middle East will become peaceful, and it will be much more convenient for us.

He spoke the truth and has nothing to apologize for.

Israel gave up Gaza just for peace and the palestinians turned it into a terrorist state that lives off of foreign aid and has launched 9000 rockets into Israel.

Rather than getting on with their life and making the most of what they have and setting a great example they just keep it up with the terror against Israel. So why should Israel make further concessions?

The arab world is massive. Israel is a tiny pipsqueak of a country. Surely the palestinian's arab brothers would have found them help and assistance. The truth is the rest of the muslims treat palestinians like dogs.

I thought years ago the "black september" terror group that did the Munich massacre in 1972 was named after something Israel did. The truth was black september was named after september 1970 when king hussein of jordan massacred thousands of palestinians and fought them with his army until they left. What lovely muslim brothers they all are.

The Palestinian leaders that belong Hamas and other terrorist organizations do not want peace. The average Palestinian that is not a Muslim extremist and that doesn't belong to a terrorist organization probably does want peace, but the extremist leaders will not allow that to happen.

The media didn't like Truman, either.

The media keep trying to portray Romney as saying "the wrong things" but so far, the stuff they try to make an issue about seems to all ring very true to me.

The Israeli's are doing a fine job of killing Palestinians on their own.
