I'm thinking they were talking about the burden of debt we're all passing down to our kids and grandkids, regardless of our individual financial standing, because we only care about the here and now and getting our little entitlements.

How do two individuals with close to a half-billion dollars of net worth combined equate that they are worried about the financial position of their children and grandchildren compared to us? Again, I believe they're talking about the burden of debt that is being handed down to all of our children and grandchildren, and the nation they will inherit and live in. They will have to solve the problems we are unwilling to deal with or fix in the here and now. As for those rich kids, considering the way the system is run (by liberals and conservatives alike), they very likely could be our leaders in the future. So yeah, I do feel sorry for them if they end up in that position.
