Wrong, Aero. Actually I am a Bob Corker supporter, both via time and money. I did vote for Mitt in the primary, but if I could have that vote back, I'd have chosen a different nominee.
Corker looks like one of the best guys on the national scene. I figured if I knew more about him, it would probably wreck the illusion. Glad to know you believe him to be for real. Let's hope he gets ambitious about the presidency some day.
While Hillary would have been my preferred President in 2008, I would have likely supported McCain over Obama had Palin not been on the ticket. Republicans really screwed that one up.
Palin was a horrible choice. Like Ferraro, she was a token undeserving of the office.

I hope he runs for POTUS at some point. True to country, not party, nor state, first. A breath of fresh air.

When it became obvious it would be Obama vs. McCain. I was/am an Obama supporter, based on policies, but I genuinely respected both men. Either would have been an honorable president. Then along came Palin....
this thread should be, sad to see people still believe in Obama.
I don't think it's wise to "believe" in any one individual political figure. You simply need to vote for the policies and positions you support. If you support banning abortion, same-sex marriage, and pornography, vote for Republicans; otherwise, don't.
McCain (was) a hell of a man. The Republicans had one chance to get a man I respect elected in my lifetime and they failed. Just like they'll fail this time.
The only people the Republicans can manage to elect are insane.
Fixed that. Something happened to McCain after he lost the 2000 primaries. He got bitter, at least publicly, and that got even worse after his 2008 defeat. I voted for him back in 2000, but that was a different man than the one who walked out on Generals during the Don't Ask Don't Tell repeal hearings. It's unfortunate.
That said, I've gotten more "Obama's a Muslim" Fwd;Fwd;Fwd... emails from older relatives in the past week than I got during the entire 2008 cycle. People are working overtime on these things.
