In all seriousness, I came upon this video after a friend of mine retweeted it. Not being one to follow politics that much, I decided to check it out just for the heck of it and was very intrigued by the contents contained therein.

It's a group of prominent Republicans commenting on Romney and giving their thoughts about him. This is in no way meant to bash Romney (unlike my joke thread I recently started), but just wanted to show this to you all and whoever claims to be Romney supporters.

Enjoy.

I'll Be as honest as these leaders have been. Romney is nothing to be too proud of. I believe he doesn't have much of a "core" and will do and say whatever is politically expedient. HOWEVER, I would rather have a flip-flopper than an extreme left-wing idealogue who seems Hell- bent on pushing this Nation in a Socialistic direction.

There is a clown to the left, and a clown to the right....I am forced to pick the lesser of the two Bozos.

I typically try not to pay attention to things much in the way of politics (besides this board of course), but even I as a Centrist (Independent/Moderate) have to admit that it's very troubling that a lot of people on the Right are supporting Romney with the above video out.

I mean yeah lesser of the two evils would be Obama here - doesn't mean the country is going to be any better if (some say when) Romney takes office.

My point was that Romney is the lesser of the two evils. By far.

Why do you say that?

What do you know about Willard that would make you say he's less "evil" than President Obama?

I am judging them by their positions on issues. I find it evil that Obama has the most liberal record when it comes to voting for abortion rights....even very late term abortions. I find that beyond repugnant, and yes, evil. I also see evil in a drift toward socialism, in that it necessarily diminishes the freedom of the individual. I am troubled that Obama does not seem to be a friend of Israel, but seems to fall all over himself when it comes to Muslim leaders/Nations. He snubbed Netanyahu, when he was here to meet with our President, and even refused to eat with him. Yet, he bowed to the Saudi King. No American president has ever done something like this! I can see in subtle and blatant ways, that his values system is diametrically opposed to the things I hold most sacred ( sanctity of life, protection of our Freedoms, especially religious freedom, etc. ) .

Jealousy is a horrible thing. There is a lot that in our world. If someone is successful, a good and moral person and has a nice and respectable family, they are not admired for it, they are ridiculed for it. Mitt Romney has sacrificed much personal gain and wealth for public service. People with 'no core' do not do that. He has nothing to gain or prove in running for office. He has all of the personal wealth he or his family will ever need. He and his family could go and do or be whatever they want. They feel like this country needs a leader to lead them out of the mess we are currently in and I agree. Mitt Romney is a good and honorable man who we would be lucky to have as our president.

And which of Willard's positions on the issues are you judging him by? The ones on national security, where he pretty much agreed with President Obama on everything? Or the ones on national security he was promoting a week ago, or two weeks ago, six months ago, or three years ago? How do you even know what his positions are on ANYTHING?

I googled this and the only sources I could find that were saying this were sites like The Blaze and other right wing biased sites - obviously where you get your information.

Bowing - BAD.

Kissing on the mouth - GOOD.

Bowing - BAD.

Holding hands - GOOD.

In what way? By putting through a health care bill that was fashioned after one that was implemented in Massachusetts? By YOUR "lesser of two evils?"

Please tell us what "freedoms" you have lost. Religious freedom? What religious freedoms, in particular, have you lost or are afraid of losing? And how do you think President Obama is going to deny you those rights?

realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/08/22/obama_in_03_voted_no_on_banning_late_term_abortion s.html

Here you go: Obama voted no to ban partial birth abortion. The most gruesome and immoral act I can imagine. If that was the sum total of his errors, that is all I need to know to oppose him.

As to the other stuff, I could look up links, but if they come from conservative sources, you will only discount them. I will just end with a general statement that I believe big government will necessarily erode personal freedom. Romney is more of a big government guy than I like as well. Again, I only said I believed he was the lesser of the evils. I see Obama as a proponent of bigger government, and having been influenced by Marxist philosophies ( ie. His redistribution of wealth, anti- business leanings) .
