I don't like the way the city/county uses the voting records, going to have to sit this one out unfortunately. Besides, I am too poor to donate money to causes or candidates, and that's the only "vote" that counts.

Definitely. My wife is really regretting not going that route (I actually accidentally registered to vote by mail ) because her schedule is so hectic she is not sure she'll be able to make it to the poll place.

By state law, your workplace has to give you up to two hours off to vote if you need it. They don't have to pay you for the time, but they have to give it to you. If you need it, take it! Think about what you'll be voting for (a shortened list):
President
Senator
U.S. Representative
30--Tax increase for education
32--Union political rights
34--Abolishing the death penalty
36--Reforming Three Strikes
37--Labeling GMO Food

That's a pretty impressive list right there, and there's all the local stuff in your area. Get out and vote!
