Yeah, the "argument" that "because it was car bomb it's 'somehow different'" is just desparate and DUMB.

You claimed it was an attack on an American consulate. The only American DEATH under Bush was not a consulate attack. We might also be able to conclude that our terms of engagement and protection of our consulates was BETTER under Bush because there were no AMERICAN DEATHS by terrorist attacks on U.S. consulates under Bush.
HOWEVER, under Obama, in a U.S. Consulate that made NUMEROUS requests for aid PRIOR to 9/11 which were denied, our Ambassador and 3 brave Americans were taken out and tortured and there was not only no protection, BUT NO CALL TO DEFEND! The attack lasted for more than 7 hours and Obama watched??? Then shut off the feed, went to bed and got up for his lame Rose Garden speech and off to Vegas?
Yeah right, he was THE target. Being THE target by nature indicates it was planned.
Oh. Ok. Then why hasn't the Ft. Hood shooter been prosecuted yet for terrorism under Obama? Why hasn't KSM been prosecuted yet, under Obama? He wants to "bring those responsible to justice" so fast, why hasn't he tried KSM for 9/11 already? He had 4 years to screw around with his threat to try KSM as a civilian in NYC though with his buddy boy Holder ..............
We were lucky and few Americans were killed (bombs don't discriminate so it was just luck more Americans weren't killed in these attacks)

In the 2004 attack in Saudi Arabia five consulate employees (not Americans but working for the U.S. government).
In addition MANY innocent civilians just walking down the street were killed in these attacks.
The fact is, US embassies anywhere in the Muslim world - and elsewhere even - are dangerous places.

Daniel Foy, a US diplomat, was killed by terrorists linked to Al Qaeda, in a pre-planned organized attack targeting him by setting off a car bomb in the parking lot behind the US consulate in Karachi. This was after there had been at least 3 prior attacks on the same consulate going back almost 4 years.
Other than that, it happened on March 2, not September 11, so I'll concede that point.
