Facing criticism from key conservatives, Texas Gov. Rick Perry said he endorsed GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani despite their philosophical differences because he believes the former mayor is the only Republican who could win in 2008.

The election of Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton would be "devastating" to the economy, the military and to the anti-abortion movement, Perry told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview.

I hope to God that Giuliani doesn't get elected... I think I'd rather live in the DRC than the United States under him.

After 6+ years of observing the alleged leadership of a Texas political product I'll sure be placing my trust in the advice of a Texas politician

I don't trust Rudy. He is the only Republican besides Bush I would not vote for. I believe he is pro-choice and would say anything to get conservative support. I think that speaks volume about his character. In my opinion if he were elected president Americans would have to suffer another 4 years of disappointment in leadership, war, economic and social policy set backs.

considering the low morals of governor perry, i can only reasonably guess that giuliani's campaign paid him the most for this endorsement

I'm with you on that, Rudy will not get my vote for sure. I think he would be as bad as Bush, maybe worse if that's possible.

How odd. We've had legalized abortion for many years now, and God has not smote (smited? smitten? smit? sorry, not up on my archaisms) us yet. Rather, our women have had access to excellent care in hospitals during their abortions.

There's still a lot more we could be doing, but at least it's not like some countries that force their pregnant women (usually teens) underground, into dark alleys, to abort their foetuses in non-sterile and unhealthy procedures without followups!

And we still want to overturn the ruling?? Jesus, WHY? I thought we'd moved past this years ago.
