Just a couple months ago in the middle of the original debt ceiling talks the Democrats insisted on MORE stimulus spending.

Senate Democrats say deficit package must include stimulus - The Hill

Quote:
“We know that our goal is to reduce spending. But we also know that America faces not just a budget deficit but also a jobs deficit. Nobody on this committee would be happy if we reduced the budget deficit but even more Americans end up losing their jobs,” Murray, Baucus and Kerry wrote in the op-ed.

Senate Democrats tried to get stimulus measures in the debt-ceiling deal but failed. They were seeking a, extension to the payroll tax holiday, extension of unemployment insurance and new infrastructure spending.

More proof that Dems always want more spending.

Calling for stimulus, Democrats cite 'real cliff' if jobless benefits aren't extended - NBC Politics

Quote:
Schumer and other Democrats said at a Capitol press conference Thursday that an extension of emergency unemployment insurance benefits must be part of any year-ending "fiscal cliff" deal.

Uh, that's talking about the "fiscal cliff", that has nothing to do with the sequester.

We need more revenue. Period. The boomers are going to tank the treasury, and the tax holiday they keep voting in since Reagan is the problem. We need a 5% tax hike across the board, and a 3% cut in spending. Boom. Done. Instead we'll defend unsustainablly low rates, and let our kids choose between feeding us, maintaining their infrastructure, or doubling their tax rates.

What douche bags us boomers are.

Since we take in less than we spend in taxes I'd like to see a 10% cut in spending instead.

Christie has a “limited future” in the national Republican party given his position on gun control, the source tells National Review Online. As a result, the CPAC insider says, the focus of this year’s conference, “the future of conservatism,” made Christie a bad fit.

That won't be the case for the next 30 years, and you know it. Boomers will be sucking the life out of the treasury. Besides, we've run up the deficit with our tax cut funded wars. And more broadly, for the last 30 years, boomers have let everything go to crap in their fetish with Reaganomics, yet they are somehow victims? WTF?

Typical.
