Case #1 that Republicans care more about sabotaging America under Obama than helping America.

So Reps want to limit spending while Dems want to spend more money we don't have and you see that as Reps wanting to sabotage the country?

What kind of drugs do they put in the water in Chicago?

The dems proposed for both sides to pitch in 50/50 to end the sequester. The GOP threw a pissy fit and didn't want to touch a penny of their own insane spending, but wanted to dems to be the only ones pitching in.

But that's the GOP for you, a bunch of idiots that don't give a damn about the deficit, only about defending their corporate masters at all costs.

50/50 to Democrats = some cuts/more spending which doesn't do anyone any good except for those who are doing the spending and not paying the bills.

If you consider raising money for things we need as spending more money, have at it. Just remember that when push came to shove every Republican in Congress was trying to exempt their share of the monies from the sequester. I guess in Republicans' minds, it's everyone else that's wasting money...

The problem is the money that would be "raised" in additional taxes wouldn't go towards paying our debt, it would go straight to things that we don't actually "need" unless you consider buying votes a "need"... you're a liberal, nevermind.

What irritates me more than anything is the commentary I read on the news from various sources. "It's a failure of all branches of government, of both parties."

No, it's not. The democrats and the president in particular have the right policies -- period. We need spending cuts and those have been proposed, even if there's disagreement about the amount of cuts and the timing of them. The point us, cuts - even big ones - have been agreed to. Republicans don't even deny that. They just want their tax gimmies that Reagan and corporate boot-lickers past have been giving them for the past 30 years, and it's time to stop.

Sh*t, the Republicans won't even let Chris Christie speak at their CPAC conference now -- because he had a photograph with the president during the Hurricane Sandy cleanup process. That's how utterly f-ing ridiculous the republican radicals are and this is just more proof to the average person who's trying to filter the reality from the fiction who's right and who's full of it.

And again, when push came to shove, every Republican was trying this & that to exempt their share of revenue from the sequester. If 10 Republicans all think the other nine are spending money recklessly, are they all right about the others or are they all right about themselves?

What spending? Now you are just making things up.

The democrats, as usual, kept things fair and straight down the middle with each side puts in half to pay down the sequester. The democrats agreed, the GOP threw a pissy fit.

Democrats want more spending, don't act like that's a surprise. I know you can't agree but at least acknowledge the truth when you see it.
