I have to say, I am a little surprised. I guess some people will vote for a candidate based on what they consider qualifications and forget their personal life.

This could be a good thing for Democrats. The district was too Republican to begin with as Romney won it by 18 points, Might as well have Sanford in Congress to completely undermine the Republicans "family values" platform.
