We could only wish lawyers were free... Then you would actually get what you pay for.

He ended his campaign well in the black. The smart thing to do would be to become informed. Not saying you will do it, just saying it's the smart thing.

Default My 2 cents

I can only opine on the preceding 8 decades that I have been breathing oxygen, but, by all evidence currently under examination, politics and organized crime appear synonymous.

Can't we just mercifully let this thread rest in peace?

Not quite yet. The Mississippi State Supreme Court heard McDaniel's case today. I don't believe they ruled yet, but McDaniel's attorney hinted that if the ruling doesn't go their way, they are thinking of taking the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.

On a related note, the Democratic challenger for the seat, Travis Childers, today became the first Democrat to sign the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) anti-amnesty pledge. Perhaps he's looking to pick up some disaffected Tea Party votes from incumbent Republican Sen. Thad Cochran, who has refused to sign the pledge?

Stay tuned...

Just an update but Mississippi's Secretary of State has determined that there were fewer than 900 crossover votes statewide. That information won't help McDaniel's case.
