Udall quickly corrected himself.

"The content of their character, not the color of their skin," he said.

"I got it right. I got it both ways!" he said the audience which gave an audible reaction.

"We judge people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin," Udall said again for good measure.
Oh no, a candidate never has a mess up when making a speech or an introduction....I am sure no one could find a single Republican making a mistake with their words in a speech.

He didn't mess up. He said what he and other liberals actually believe.

You are reaching with this one, I can only assume you always say what you mean and have never messed up your words ever in your life? A politician misspoke, that happens, and with that the other side always has their fun with it, but no one ever takes that seriously because misspeaking is just human nature.

It happens, you have a good laugh about it, and then you move on with your life. I highly doubt Udall meant what he said.
