Are you new to Texas or something? Austin has always been dark blue, It's the most liberal city in the state. The big four and the Counties on the Mexico border always go blue. Davis never stood a chance... thank god!

I'm an Austinite born and raised. I meant that I'm honored to be living in a progressive city of people who understood the dangerous extremism of the Republican party and chose to vote for progress in the face of a strong Republican year.

So yes, I'm proud that my hometown handed Wendy a 30-point blowout to Abbott in Travis County.

Dude, again, all it means is Austin is a college town with burn outs voting, nothing more, nothing less.

How is it a town of burnouts? Austin is the 11th largest city in the country and is one of the most educated. Just because we don't vote like Texas doesn't mean we're burnouts.

Means nothing. She wasn't running for mayor of Austin she was running for Governor of Texas & she lost by 22 points.

I know that, I'm just saying that I'm proud of Austin for rejecting Republican extremism.

Wendy Davis and Battleground Texas gets annihilated by historic margins and a tea partier wins her former state senate seat. You just can't underestimate what a disaster she was for Democrats.
