Romney just announced he will not run. That leaves it to Bush for the taking. A Clinton vs Bush matchup looks likely now.

That is what I am hearing.

I like Mitt, I think he would do a decent job, but I'm glad he is not running.

It is time to bring the under 50 group in Republican Party to the front of the stage.

I think Bush would beat Hillary if he is the nominee. There are a lot of libs who dont think she is liberal enough, and a lot of moderates who just dont like her. Clinton would probably prefer to run against anyone besides Bush

Don't let the door hit him where the good lord split him.

Hoping JEB! follows his lead.

This is good news because he would just muddy the waters. He had his chance now it's time for someone new and perhaps more likable.

I for one am so happy to hear this: yes, like others I read it on Yahoo or wherever. I have said all the way along he would not run. BTW for those of you, especially the libs who think Bush is a shoe in and will be easy to beat: don't get too excited..He will not be easy to beat and he isn't a shoe in by any means.

Romney did the right thing.....The Republican party needs NEW faces..............Jeb Bush is not the answer and I hope he doesn't get the nomination, Hillary will beat him.

Very disappointed by this latest news regarding Romney. I think he was the party's best chance against Hillary, the Tea Party clowns are too extreme and too polarizing. Jeb Bush is a fine, moderate voice ... and I think he would make a decent president but I think his last name will turn off people who would otherwise vote for a moderate Republican.

In other words, Hillary just won the election. Thanks Mitt ... you betrayed a nation today

we don't need a more likable person....we got that with Obama and how is that working out. We need somebody understands the economy and the free market and can reform everything that is wrong in washington from tax code, social security (which will go bankrupt), Obamacare, immigration and government spending.

Romney was the right guy but since he wasn't "likable" like Obama, he didn't get the chance........this is what is wrong in presidential elections, most people in our country could care less about the issues and vote for the guy that talks a good game and is "likable" regardless if his policies will hurt your pockets and the nation......its the culture we live in.

nah, I think his wife had a lot to do with his decision. She made him promised her that 2012 was it, win or lose.... She made that very clear in interviews.

People would want new faces, they are tired of the Bushes and Clintons........those families have ruled the W.H. for 28 YEARS (President and VP) in the last 36 years.
